Financial Support for Students
Ege University Rectorate, The General Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports, Ege University Foundation for Development and various public and private institutions grant scholarships for the students, both for outstanding performance and on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Free lunch and books are also provided for students in need. Ege University has always stood by and helped successful students. The students in the top 1000 of university entrance examination results, those successful in their classes, those excelling in sports are granted by scholarships. In addition, furthermore, students are given part-time jobs within the Campus.
The tuition fee for the programs of higher education is determined by the Government at the beginning of each academic year. Higher education is more affordable in Turkey comparing European institutions. Tuition varies by faculty to faculty and the average is about 350 Euro for a year. It is paid as two installments at the beginning of each semester.
National students, who are in financial need, can claim this amount from the governmental sources. The students whose application to the Credit and Dormitories Agency for the payment of tuition fees has been approved are also given a monthly scholarship around 100 Euros. |
