The aim of the course, to teach the students the basic concepts, symbols, units and calculations of the chemistry.

7To be able to calculate the oxidation number of ions and the compounds

Course Contents
The classification of matter, atomic structure and the isotope atoms, the classification of the elements and the periodic law, quantum numbers, orbitals and hund rule, the electronic structure of elements, element types, periodic properties of elements, bonds, formal charge, Lewis structure, oxidation numbers.
